Ocean Grove & Barwon Heads are two side-by-side towns southwest of Melbourne, Australia. They are 98 kilometres (61 mi) south-west of Melbourne on the Bellarine Peninsula. Both towns have everything. You can even park on the street if car park is full. It amazing charm about it old to modern homes, cute stores, ice cream shop, great little restaurants and all those perfect little tents on the beach during summertime.
They are absolutely beautiful places, perfect for spending a day on the beach, exercising, walking your dog, biking, and gazing out to the ocean.
We love walking on the beach from Ocean Grove to Barwon Heads. Sometime we swim at the Ocean grove beach and then BBQ either at Ocean Grove beach or at Barwon Heads. Local activities include traditional beach pursuits such as family bathing and surfing as well as pier fishing from Barwon River side. Some of the facilities include free parking, toilet and shower blocks, kiosk and picnic areas with BBQ. For more detail shots please check out our Photography page 🙂
