Royal Botanic Garden Melbourne

Royal Botanic Garden Melbourne is a haven of serenity in a very busy city and must see place in Melbourne. Melbourne Garden was founded in 1846 on the south side of the Yarra River.Go there anytime of the year to enjoy flowers in abundance of spring or autumn for wonderful leaf colours. Lovely place to read a book, meditate or have a picnic.

There are plants collections like camellias, rainforest flora, succulents and cacti, roses, herbs, perennials, cycads and plants from Southern China.

The Children’s Garden has everything that children could want to help them discover the nature, with plant tunnels that they can crawl through, rocks that they can climb and a bamboo forest in which they can hide.
