Banff Christmas Parade:

When we were planning our Banff trip one of the main reason we wanted to be in Banff over holiday season was being in Banff on Christmas parade day. The whole Banff Ave is decorated and lit up. My daughter thought she at the North Pole. Being from Melbourne Australia it was quite magical for kids to experience as Christmas in Australia is in summer. There’s nothing more Canadian than spending time in the Rocky Mountains over the Christmas holidays.

In mid-November, a flurry of family-friendly activities kick-start the season inΒ Banff bringing holiday cheer to a whole new level. During the day, kids can have their photo takenΒ with SantaΒ andΒ tell him all of theirΒ Christmas wishes! At dusk, the streets come alive with the magic glow of the Santa Claus Parade of Lights. Get into the holiday spirit as a procession of floats, performers, and Santa himself, traverse Banff Avenue. After the parade, follow the performers to Cascade Gardens for the Carols by Candlelight concert. Kids loved receiving lollies and sweets form each float as it passes by. They were very excited as the giant Santa Cluse arrived in front of them.
