Disneyland Paris

This was our 4th Disneyland trip. We have been to LA, Tokyo and Hong Kong so wanted to go this one as well and TOTLLAY loved it. There is so much to see and do at Disneyland Paris including 2 amazing parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios which offer thrilling rides, great shows, parades and entertainment to suit all ages. There are an endless supply of Disney restaurants, Disney shops and Disney Village, which is a late night entertainment venue with fun for all the family.

Disneyland Paris (originally called Eurodisney) opened in 1992ย in Marne-la-Vallรฉe, France. We always wanted to go and are very happy we ticked this as well. We bought the 2-day Disneyland Paris pass, which includes unlimited rides in both their parks Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. The tickets cost us around $145. If you book in advance, they often have special offers and deals, which can be availed. The park is a bit on the outskirts of Paris so if you want to spend quality time there, we would suggest booking a hotel in the vicinity, like we did. We would recommend going for the 2-day pass. It is impossible to cover all good rides in just 1 day. Keep in mind the fact that waiting time for every popular ride is no less than 30-90 mins. So in one day you will probably cover all good rides of one park. We always buy two days pass to really enjoy it properly with the kids.

Apart from the popular rides, Walt Disney studios Paris had number of awesome shows, which were very unique and interesting. Another great experience was the Disney parade, they had it in the morning and evening – both times, it was a must watch spectacle with people peeping from sidelines and our favourite Disney characters coming to life. Notably our favourite rides have to be Phantom Manor, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, all of which lie in different themed areas of the park.

Main Street USA: The entrance to this Magical place, and sitting right at the end youll find the gorgeous Sleeping beauty Castle which is home to a living dragon under the Castle in a cave! Mains street itself is lots of shops selling Disney Merchandise and also consists of food courts and places to buy cameras etc and any other item you may need for your vist here. Its also where the Daily Parades take place. notably from my visits the best restaurant here is Plaza Gardens overlooking the castle, which is also a hot spot for character dining!

Discoveryland: Step into the future as Buzz Lightyear needs your help defeating the evil emperor Zurg, and you can catch a Space ship to the Star Wars worlds moon of Endor! Also home to Space Mountain this area of the park is fantastically detailed around Jules Vernes Imagination of the world of discovery and tomorrow!

Fantasyland: Where dreams come true, home to all the Disney Classics, this is home to peter Pans Flight, Snow Whites Scary Adventure, Pinocchios Adventure, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Casy Jnr, Alice in Wonderlands Maze and its a Small World. Many of the rides here are for the younger guest, but for adults alike its still a magical part of the park. Peter Pans Flight being one of the most popular ride in the park with a magical flight over London and never Never Land!

Adventureland: Home to the Pirates, Magic Carpets and Mysterious Temples. This is great! here you can jump on board Captain Hooks Ship, explore the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones’ Temple of Peril Rollercoaster. I Must do!

Frontierland: My favourite, Western themed part of the park with big thunder mountain and scary Phantom Manor, Lucky Nugget Saloon is a must do character dining experience. This part of the park also gets transformed during the halloween celebrations which is rather cool.

Itโ€™s absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every single second of our stay. There is great variety of rides for all ages. We enjoyed all of them. There are lots of facilities around the park and it was all very clean. Prices are expensive but that is expected. We managed to meet most of the characters. All the people there were friendly and spoke English very well which was handy. The fireworks at the end was the icing on the top it was Fabulous. We had a fantastic time and canโ€™t wait to back there again one day.

Its the largest of all the ‘Magic Kingdom Parks’ Around the world and has a unique Castle like no other Disney Park.
